Something about the shadows within the pleats from workshop 4 reminded me of the sea, so I thought I would have a look at some ripples and waves

I was trying to get a feel for the ripples within the wave rising up and rolling down on the pieces above, not an easy thing to do. Could do with more overhanging parts to give them that rolling momentum.

Surface Ripples

Tried my best to make something based on surface ripples but this semi-ripple was the best I could muster. Pleating circular paper is a whole different kettle of fish and i'm not keen! The paper creases too easily and i don';t like the idea of having to stick two parts together to make a whole circle (the paper won't seem to bend if i try to pleat more than a semi-circle at a time).
